Stranraer Ferry Port is located in the heart of
the town, and provides ferry services to
Belfast, operated by Stena Line.
Stranraer is a town situated in south west
Scotland, at the head of Loch Ryan. Stranraer is
less than 2 hours drive from Glasgow and is
close to the English border. Stranraer is the
second largest town in the Dumfries and Galloway
region, with around 13,000 inhabitants.
Stranraer has plenty to offer the visitor,
including the Stranraer Museum which is located
in the Old Town Hall. Stranraer is an excellent
place to stay if you want to explore the
surrounding area, as it is well connected with
the rest of Scotland, and with England, by road
and rail. Coach services from Stranraer go to
Glasgow, London, Birmingham and Manchester among
other places.
